While Xbox players collect in points for Gamer score, PlayStation fans have collected trophies since the PS3 era full of passion. Both collection systems are similar to the basic principle: master tasks, rewarded with an award. With the platinum trophy, however, another spin comes to PlayStation consoles, which says, in this game you have packed everything. This approach is available in MATCH Xbox game with an additional achievement, but the rule are not such awards.
In an interview in Iron Lord's Podcast, Jason Ronald's, Xbox 'Director of Project Management, was asked if the equivalent of a platinum trophy in the future could also come to Xbox One and Xbox Series S / X. And in fact, Microsoft is already thinking about integration. (Via Game rant)
Do you want a platinum trophy on Xbox?
The question we ask ourselves: Do you want such a platinum trophy at all, or are you satisfied with the gamer score, the well-tried Xbox Achievement system wants to maintain? Here you can participate in our survey:
Of course, the question refers primarily to those of you who generally use such Achievement systems. Because, that's clear, the game behavior of Gamer is very different and many leave such challenges cold, disable alerts on achievements even.
Implementation for Xbox depends on many factors
In the podcast, Ronald talks that Xbox has already thought about implementing a platinum trophy for Xbox, but a change of the Gamer score system is dependent on many factors. Ronald is on the different types of players:
There are some players inside that just want to play the multiplayer. Here we have to look how we reward such gamers and make progress clearly. Then there are players inside that play a lot of different games... and then there are completions like me who want to get everything out of a game.
So it remains exciting to see how Microsoft moves with the Gamer score in the future, whether we may get a kind of platinum trophy for Xbox consoles and how it is implemented.
Correspond us in the comments, why you would like a platinum system or why you do not really need it to be satisfied with the current achievements.
