Which killer is INDEED by Daylight good, and what should you avoid? Our animal list of all 26 killers reveals it.
Dead by Daylight has changed massively in recent years. Where there were only a few cards, killers and perks at the beginning, a lot of content has accumulated over the last few years. Numerous game mechanics have been revised or expanded and in direct comparison to the release in June 2016 is hardly anything like earlier.
Especially the number of killers has risen dramatically — 25 there are now.
But which killer is objectively good in his job and which is currently more abnormal or even bad? To create an overview, we have created an animal list in this post, which classes all killers with justifications in ranks.
IMPORTANT: This animal list is based on the basic strength of a killer — so merely its skills. By using suitable perks and add-ons, the position can move in the list. The list is currently on the Patch 5.4.0 by Dead By Daylight and was updated on 09.12.2021.
And basically applies: Do not let yourself be discouraged, just because your favorite skill was not placed here as you would like to have it. With the right perks, add-ons and experienced hands, every killer could tug the survivor the day.
CORBYN has been writing about Dead by Daylight for almost 4 years and has now collected well over 2,000 hours of play in the PC version and a few hundred on the PlayStation variant. Corbyn does not feel belonging to CORBYN, playing both killer and survivors and likes to experiment with unusual PERK combinations. That did not remain without consequences, because Euro pallets in everyday life of the real world now release a shock.
Animal S: To overpower killer
Nurse (Nurse): The nurse is running except competition in Dead by Daylight. Although she has the slowest speed of movement of all killer, it can ignore almost all the mechanics of the survivors. With their teleport, it can slide through windows, pallets and other obstacles.
Although she is by far the hardest killer, but has the greatest potential — for beginners, it is not suitable. She has hardly influenced her Nerf. The nurse is now only a ticking difficult to learn, but still unbeaten in practiced hands.
Animal A: The strong killers
Hole (Blight) : The rot is a pretty unusual killer. While he has a storm attack, it has to race only against objects or walls, and then start a second attack that can cause damage. This makes him difficult to predict, but also difficult to control. Skillful surviving soft pretty simple, but the rot can travel quickly across the whole card and build up so permanently. Even better, this has succeeded since the patch 4.6.0. There his vocal height was changed. Since then, he has many more overview and can tear more. One of the most deadly and most successful killers.
Purse (plague): The plague had an extremely strong start and was then increasingly weaker. This is not due to your own, but above all on the survivors. Although it can make the survivors sick and thus conquer them with a blow, but survivors can deny their special ability by simply healing themselves to a well. This then leads that the disease becomes a normal melee killer. Meanwhile, the disease was revised, can infect longer and better and is a bit faster. A continuous danger.
Artist (Artist): The artist rises extremely high and is almost at the top of the list to the release. This is because it has an extremely versatile toolkit with which you cause damage both in long-distance concretes, but also surviving survivors can bother longer distance. In addition, although it is versed in lousy fight, the artist also has the maximum speed of movement of other killers. All this leads to the fact that the artist is already a really strong killer without add-ons, the survivor can hold on trot. It remains to be seen if she does not have to suffer a few Nerfs soon.
Ghost (Spirit) : The terrorism of the spirit is over, and it is healthy from the S-animal in the A-animal. But she continues to be more than a solid killer and horrors of many players on higher ranks. With Bazooka's spook, she can approach the survivors invisible, but they can now estimate their direction. Who stands for exciting Mind games and donated the survivors shock moments, will have fun and success with spirit — very much for the suffering of the survivors.
Huntress (Hunter): The hunter is slower than many other killers, but can cause damage due to distance. Experienced players can also throw them to barriers with their accurate, which is why they are difficult to loop. However, one hears the hunter already on a very large distance, so that a sharp eye (or suitable Perks) are necessary to find the survivors. However, their high precision and range ensure that it is a unique threat.
Witch (HAG): HAG is extremely good at cutting annoying loops quickly and exiting important points with their traps. This forces the survivors to move slowly or betray their position, which in turn allows the witch to teleport to a triggered trap. However, she needs a lot of exercise, because survivors can also trigger the falls permanently, whereby their MAP control can cause a bit into serrated.
ON (ON) : The ON is the first Samurai in Dead by Daylight and is considered quite Outbalanced. Although he has a strong one hit mechanics with an onslaught that is similarly powerful as the Hillbilly (in some aspects even better), but he can not use his ability permanently. Who invests time in the ON, but with him becomes a real killing machine. Hardly a killer punishes mistakes as strong as the ON and only a few can build such a threatening presence.
Tier B: The balanced killers
Demogorgon (Demogorgon): The Demogorgon caused a player's thrust in Dead by Daylight, but could not convince particularly well. Meanwhile, he became a real darling, which is good in experienced hands — even due to some small buffs in the past and improvements of his add-ons. However, if a large part of the portals lies in a region of the card where no generators are more, he is almost half of his skills.
Hunker (Executioner): The Executioner had a strong start. He can emphasize areas and prove careless survivors with a special rebuff that enable him special actions. Then he does not have to bring survivors to hooks, but can teleport them directly into torture cages or even kill immediately — a rescue is impossible. However, this rebuff can be comparatively easy. Since the Executioner can cause damage at medium distance, he still remains solid. He has been much stronger since some buffs.
Twins (Twins): The twins are quasi 2 in 1. You can change between Victor and Charlotte, who have different skills. While Charlotte is a base killer, Victor can be placed to spy out the survivors or attack them themselves. However, Victor is susceptible to attacks of the overnight, which is why it can be temporarily turned off and Charlotte then lets without additional force.
Cannibal (Cannibal): Since its revision and the new chainsaw, the cannibal is a really sound killer, which can also dominate outside the camper strategy in the basement. Although it requires a little practice to control the charges of the chainsaw and overheating, but then the cannibal can retract a kill after another.
Nightmare (Nightmare): Freddy was too strong for a long time and had to accept some slowdowns in the last patches, which is why the ranking has fallen. Thanks to its teleportation, he can quickly get to generators and bridge big distances. His dream traps allow him to cut out survivors and slow down them so that he can catch up quickly. The once worst killer is now a really solid choice.
Ghost Face (Ghost Face): Ghost Face has many parallels to the transducer, but can completely disappear at the push of a button to completely disappear its terror radius and thus hold the whole match over. At the same time, his ability to provide survivors with the endangered status is a little weaker, because it can be aborted by survivors. For this it is quasi infinitely often possible to put survivors in this condition. That makes Ghost face a basic choice; With him, you can easily shock survivors.
Doctor (Doctor): The Doctor has last received a small rework and no longer has to change between two attitudes, but has lost its passive madness aura. He can now spreader a shock in all its terror radius and thus meet many survivors at the same time. He is still quite good at keeping survivors away from small loops away. Recently, his add-ons were revised, which now only bring positive effects for the killer. He became a pretty strong killer.
Nemesis (Nemesis): The Nemesis is rising as a solid killer who has a few weaknesses. Since the survivors have not yet know exactly how they should deal with his semi-ranging attack, but he achieves relatively good kill values and is thus located in midfield. A small buff has made him stronger in Phase 3 of his tentacle beat, but many players do not reach in a match.
Pig (Pig): The pig is one of the most popular killers in the community and after numerous Nerfs finally braced again. Her add-ons have been revised so that it has much more options for making the survivor's game particularly difficult. The mixture of stealth and falls ensures that survivors hardly have a second rest when it starts with their abilities.
Animal C: The Weak Killer
Zen obit (Cenobite): The Zen obit rises in the lower midfield and that has several reasons. His ability needs a lot of exercise and can almost completely tricks from good survivors. On the other hand, however, he is not difficult to play, but only rewards good players — unlike the nurse, the Zen obit can not do so much more than a freshman in experienced hands. However, he scores with permanent pressure, as the survivors must always take care of the puzzle box.
Hillbilly (Hinterwäldler): No other killer can wander so fast and repeatedly through the different maps like the Hillbilly. This will be able to make a lot of pressure even if the generators are far apart. His chainsaw requires exercise, but is a reliable tool to send survivors with a blow to the ground. The sound of the saw confuses many newcomers and tempts them to errors. Since overheating mechanics, the killer has become a little weaker.
Spirit (Wraith): The Spirit is masterful in listening unnoticed, but suffers from its large activation time to get out of the Stealth. Attentive survivors have already taken the escape. Many improvements have led to the fact that the Spirit is now a real threat. His invisibility is now no longer half translucent on medium to large distance. And its speed of movement in the Stealth was massively increased. He is now one of the fastest killers and can cause and exploit many shock moments. A little nerf weakened him something, so he has risen a few places again.
The Shape (converter): The Shape or rather known as Michael Myers is a basic killer with pretty small terror radius (or no terror radius in malice I). This allows him to split at survivors. Thanks to its ability to spontaneously switch in malice III and bring survivors with a blow to fall, he is well suited for chain reactions that break a whole team. However, he has to build this ability only through almost controllers observation of the survivors, what time needed — time that the killer often does not have, because then many generators have been done.
Tracker (Trapper): The trapper was finally significantly improved. He is still not an elite killer, but the circumstance to start directly with 2 traps and guaranteed on each card 6 more traps, is a clear buff. The revision of his add-ons also made him exciting and tactical. Nothing changes, however, that he first has to prepare the playing field with his fall. Time that is extremely precious and really pays off only in experienced hands.
Clown (Clown): The clown has fallen in the favor of the player in recent months. Basically, he is quite solid, but his tonic can just no longer keep up with many other forms of slowdown. With the right loops, it does not even help, which is why he is in many cases a melee attack killer without special ability. With the right add-ons, however, he can be a solid threat.
Trickster (trickster): The trickster was revised for a while and now has to hit significantly fewer knives than before. His slow movement speed makes him any serious danger and his ability to use only on open surfaces or in long corridors, but too fast. Although he has become a sex symbol in Dead by Daylight — since the patch 5.1 he has also won playful popularity. It is not quite enough to get into the B-Tier, but he has improved significantly with the changes.
Legion (Legion): The Legion continues to be one of the worst killers in Dead by Daylight. This is mainly due to the fact that Legion can not do its ability to catch and bring survivors. His ability is good to detect and wound survivors, but he can never bring a survivor to the hook. Here he has to put on normal melee attacks, which makes him in principle to a basic killer.
Animal D: The very weak killer
Deaths man (Deaths linger): The death praise has been in Dead by Daylight for some time and landed directly in the solid midfield. Through his ranged capability, he is well able to comply with fleeing survivors and quickly ending persecution hunts. Pallets must often be used early on the death messenger to save themselves. However, the death messenger has little Map Pressure and a slow speed of movement. His latest Nerf has dramatically increased the terror radius and ensures that he has to wait for animations like the goals completely before he can fire. This currently makes him the worst killer in Dead by Daylight.
